ANGELS FINANCIAL STATEMENTS FOR 2016 ARE RELEASED.

The official name for Angels is “Floyd County Angels Ministries Inc”, and it is a 501c3 non-profit, as determined by the IRS, and an annual statement on a certain form must be sent to the IRS under the applicable regulations. The organization operates the Angels in the Attic Store, the Angels Boutique, and the Angels Donation Center along with the Angels Furniture Store. So, the word “Angels” by itself is a nickname.
Because there are so many volunteers to run the day to day activities, there is large percentage of sales revenues from the stores that is available to be given to support local organizations such as food pantries and heating assistance. Some well known national organizations spend a lot on fund raising, many paid staff, and paid executives, so there is a small percentage left over for direct payments to their cause. Not so at Angels, which has a very high percentage of funds distributed to support worthy causes.
