MASONIC MEMORABILIA
At the Angels Boutique Store, a donation of Masonic items is now on display. Be sure to ask any of your friends or relatives associated with the Masons if they would like to replace an item they lost; or to simply collect memorabilia from this organization to which a number of the Founding Fathers of the USA belonged.fullsizeoutput_3864

VINTAGE COBBLERS BENCH
Great for a plant stand, coffee table, side table, craft bench, or lamp table, or perhaps only for the purpose of admiring an implement of a lost trade. These are not being made any more, for sure, so forget going to WalMart or Ikea for one. You can find this one at the Angels Boutique Store for $60, which is adjacent to the Angels in the Attic Store. (I think that is well below market price in an antique store). It is only a few steps from the famous Floyd Country Store in downtown Floyd VA. Check for the current open winter hours on this website.

Remember that all the proceeds of your purchases (less, of course, utilities, maintenance, insurance, etc.), are donated to local charities in Floyd County to help those in need with meals, food, and shelter.  So at Angels Boutique, or the Angels in the Attic Store, you can feel extra good about buying something, and in addition you are participating in recycling of donations.

AS THE SONG GOES…OH, YOU LIGHT UP MY LIFE…
It is time to brighten up those overcast winter days. The Angels in the Attic Boutique has the perfect solution, which is a great selection of decorator lamps for your kids bedroom, your living room, your workshop, your great room, or any other room in the house that could use some more lighting. Each of these offerings is unique, meaning there is rarely any extra stock of exactly the same lamp.

It’s a fun read, especially Deany’s “unbelievable but true story,” of going from the deep deep poverty of her childhood in the Appalachians.. to best friends with Ed Sullivan, Frank Sinatra, Milton Berle, and the Kennedy’s.

At age 90 she had us all in stitches Then she got up Saturday morning (after her local hosts had taken her to the FC Store, and the Angels’ Boutique on Friday night), and announced “I had an idea that came to me this morning which has given me a great deal of comfort” – I want to donate 100% of a bunch of my book sales to the Angels’ Ministry.

BARGAIN KITCHENWARE SETUP FOR NEW HOUSEHOLDS AT ANGELS IN THE ATTIC STORE
Do you know of people who need to set up an apartment or house with a set of kitchenware? Well, Angels in the Attic volunteers recently figured out how much $20 would buy. Here is the answer:

Set of 12 dishes including 8 dinner plates, cups, saucers, bowls, and salad plates
Set of 8 drinking glasses
Salt and pepper shakers
Knives for paring and slicing bread
Forks, knives, and spoons for 2 people
Spatula and frying pan for bacon and eggs
Cooking pot for oatmeal
By the way, this collection is not available pre-selected. It is not a sale. It is all regular prices. It was picked out by looking at what was available in the Attic store today. You can select the exact pieces that you need, and you are charged by the piece.
Wow! Unbelievable! And if your budget is $3 more, throw in a coffee brewer like a Mr. Coffee
By the way, Angels in the Attic has Gift Certificates available.
