LINENS GALORE AT THE ANGELS IN THE ATTIC STORE, FINE JEWELRY AT THE ANGELS BOUTIQUE
At this time, The Attic Store in downtown Floyd is stocked with lots of linens: sheets, towels, pillows and pillowcases, placemats, napkins, and tablecloths.
We have a small hamster cage and a ten gallon aquarium for sale. Aquariums may be used for fish, of course, but they also make cool terrariums. If interested, check with a volunteer.
Remember, CD’s are still 2 for 50¢, and video tapes are 5 for $1.00.
At the Angels Furniture store you may be interested in a collection of bike racks for sale. We also have quite a bit of exercise equipment for sale at various prices.
At the Angels Boutique, adjacent to the Attic Store, a recent arrival is an ornate Lois Hill sterling silver bracelet, very expensive at stores but only $75. See the photo below. Matching sterling earrings at $40 will be set aside until the bracelet is sold, in case someone wants the set (ask to view them).
Also at the Boutique is a custom necklace for $30, thought to be sterling, with a burgundy-like stone. The lime jacket it is posed against, is JonesNY only $8.

METAL, AND GLASS, COLLECTIBLES AT ANGELS BOUTIQUE ON SATURDAY AUGUST 4 FROM 10 AM – 2 PM DURING A SIDEWALK SALE. A HUGE COLLECTION.
On Saturday, August 4, we at the Angels Boutique will have volunteer cashiers out on the sidewalk (next to the Angels in the Attic Store in downtown Floyd VA), with our already low prices even lower on “Metal & More” (silver-plated, brass, copper moulds, black metal), plus “Clear & Colorful Glass” (decorative: bowls, creamers, vases, glasses, plates), many of which are vintage pieces. The regular Angels Boutique retail store will also be open for browsing during this sidewalk sale.
These can be gifts to yourself, for your home, or for friends and relatives, all the while each purchase supports the needy because Angels is a non-profit organization supporting local charitable groups. So save this date on your calendar right now: Saturday, August 4, 10am-2:00pm during and after the Farmer’s Market across the street!
You may have a young adult entering college this August. They may be setting up a dorm room or an apartment. Keep in mind all the items at the Angels in the Attic Store that will save you money and help to furnish a student’s living quarters: sheets, blankets, bedspreads, towels, dishes, flatware, pots, pans, knives and spatulas. At The Furniture store on Needmore Lane, you may find a bed-frame, desk, bookshelf, or night table.

OCCASIONAL VOLUNTEERS REALLY NEEDED, NOW, AT ANGELS BOUTIQUE, TO HANDLE INCREASED SUMMER CUSTOMERS
Angels’ Boutique is in great need of more folks to sign up at the Boutique for just one (3 or 4 hour) shift and as little as once a month, to interact with and help customers who come into the store. The Angels Boutique has a separate entrance next to the Angels in the Attic store.
The Boutique is open on Tuesdays (10-4p), Fridays (10-7p) and Saturdays (10-2p), and with 28 time slots per month, it takes 28 volunteers to say “yes!” If you’re not able to be there on a regular basis, we’d love to hear from you if you’re willing to be an occasional “Sub.” (We also provide the easy training). If you are interested, please email Ellie at angelsfloydinfo@gmail.com or come in to the Boutique.

WEDDING OUTFITS, JEWELRY, HOME FURNISHINGS, SHORTS, JEANS, ALL FLY OUT THE DOOR QUICKLY.
At the Angels in the Attic Store, we are constantly restocking our shelves. Merchandise is brought from The Donation Center to the back room at The Attic by van. The manager also brings a full load in her car, on a daily basis. Goods are then sorted, by our back room staff, into the shelf or rack it will be placed. This is a continuous process, so the stock on display constantly changes. If you can’t find your item right away, check back in an hour!
The Angels Boutique has some wedding dresses for the bride and the flower girls, and a large stock of gifts.
Our Donation Center is located at the corner of Needmore and Route 8. The following ideas may be helpful when you are considering a donation. Angels does not have facilities or staffing for cleaning, washing, drying, mending, repairing, or recycling goods. Therefore, it is helpful to us if your items are clean and in good repair. It’s easier if we don’t have to dispose of unsalable merchandise.
At the main Angels in the Attic Store, we have a donation jar at the checkout counter. We appreciate our generous customers who toss change and bills into the jar. That money is used for maintenance at our three stores: The Attic, The Boutique, and The Furniture Store.
Happy thrifting! Y’all come back!
