ANGELS FURNITURE STORE TOTALLY REARRANGED FOR EASIER BROWSING AND TO PLACE LIKE ITEMS TOGETHER, MANY PRICES ADJUSTED
In response to those who felt the Angels Furniture Store hard to walk around, and difficult to find what they were looking for, the entire store has been rearranged:
-Like things now grouped together
-Aisles widened for easier walking around
-Prices adjusted to reflect condition, so many prices adjusted
Desks start at $10, chairs at $5, coffee tables $5. Other furniture is priced similarly, and very reasonably.
Photos below show that, now, are: all wood chairs together, all stuffed chairs together, all sofas together, coffee tables together, 2-drawer and 4-drawer file cabinets together, desks together, bedframes together. exercise equipment together, walkers and crutches the same.
There are 3 vintage tube radio consoles with turntable, the one pictured is a Zenith. Is there a tube radio restorer out there, because when restored, they can be worth a lot of money. The price is not yet set due to new arrival, but will be reasonable, given they are a project.
The Angels Furniture Store is located at the lower driveway on Needmore Lane right off Hwy 8 in Floyd VA. The current hours are Mondays 9-2, Wednesdays 9-2, and Fridays 9-12. The Angels staff is working on being open some Saturdays so that people can shop outside of their working hours and volunteers are still being sought. Watch the Angels Facebook Page, or the Angels website page for updates.
This morning, while these photos were being taken, a bunch of customers arrived and a brass full sized bedframe was sold, also an exercise cycle. Two other autos pulled up with furniture donations. It is a busy place.

SLIGHT ADJUSTMENT IN THE OPEN HOURS FOR THE ANGELS FURNITURE STORE ON NEEDMORE LANE. THE ANGELS DONATION CENTER THERE IS NOT AFFECTED.
The Angels Furniture Store on the lower driveway will be open on Mondays 9 am-2 pm; Wednesdays 9 am-2 pm, and Fridays 9 am-Noon.
The Angels Donation Center on Needmore Lane on the upper driveway is not affected, as the mini-barn is open for donations all the time. Please place all items inside the mini-barn to protect them from rain or wind.
Large items, such as furniture, can be taken to the lower driveway and placed on the concrete pad under the roofing, at any time, if you cannot be there during open hours. Please, never drop off mattresses as health codes forbid resale – you can take them to the County Transfer Station at no charge to residents, which is located on Storkers Knob Road.
A number of people who cannot make it to the Furniture Store on weekdays are asking for some Saturday hours, and that is being worked on, by trying to recruit more volunteers.

NEW SIGNAGE AT THE ANGELS FURNITURE STORE
Some people reported they could not find the new Angels Furniture Store which is located at 112 Needmore Lane, next to the Angels Donation Center. They should go to the lower driveway which is at the far side of the brick house.
To make it easier, there is a new sign at the street pointing toward the Angels Furniture Store, along with an Open/Closed hanging attachment.
Donations should continue to be placed inside the mini-barn at the upper driveway (to protect them from rain and to keep the front of the house looking neat), as it has been for years. However, donations of large items such as furniture, bicycles, walkers, or sofas should be taken to the lower driveway following the sign to the concrete pad under the overhang in front of the new Angels Furniture Store.
Two new signs are affixed to the front of the Angels Furniture Store. One sign identifies it as such, and the other sign reminds people there are a few donations which cannot be accepted for health or safety reasons, like mattresses, child car seats, and the bulky and heavy tube TVs. That sign reminds people that the County Transfer Station off Storkers Knob Rd accepts such items, and at no charge to local residents.
Many thanks to Andy Finn of FinnGraphics, a local business, for responding quickly to our need, and installing the signs at a reasonable cost.

HANDYMAN OR HANDYWOMAN OR WOODWORKER OR ARTIST? HOW TO PERHAPS MAKE SOME EXTRA MONEY AT HOME AND LET YOUR TALENTS FLY
We at the Angels Furniture Store and the Angels Donation Center, both at 112 Needmore Lane in Floyd, have noticed something interesting.
Most furniture donations are received in great condition, and are ready to be placed in your home or office with some dusting and maybe some furniture polish.
A few donations need some work to restore them to being in fine shape. They are priced much lower, in recognition of that condition. YOU CAN MAKE MONEY by coming in to the Angels Furniture Store, buying some of these items, restoring them, and then selling them. Some of the items could benefit by an artist doing some inspired painting, the table for sure and perhaps a wood chair or two.
Pictured below are a solid wood chair that needs some work, a chair with naugahyde back $5 that needs to be re-covered, a solid wood chair $10 that has lost its varnish, an antique school desk $10 that needs some sanding and staining, a solid wood stool $5 that needs a crack to be glued and some polish, a low cabinet $15 that needs a big water ring to be erased, and a white table $5 that needs to be repainted. Come in and let your talents fly.
