Angels in The Attic

Your students have likely grown out of the clothing they were wearing in the spring, so you may need to go shopping for some clothing in larger sizes. You can either use a lot of gasoline and go to malls and spend $50 to $100, or go to Angels in the Attic in downtown Floyd and spend under $5 for a complete outfit. Your choice.

Your middle school and high school students might need to head to the Adult area for some larger sizes. Tops and bottoms are close to a dollar, and blue jeans are $2, look at the price sheet on the wall in that area for a complete listing. There are shirts, shorts, jeans, pants, and more.

Your elementary and daycare students can go to the newly reorganized room (across from the toys location) that a volunteer has worked hard to complete. In this room, there is a new low rack where your student can pick and choose without a ladder, which should please them greatly. Many tops and bottoms are 50 cents or a dollar. Check the price sheet on the wall in this area.

ANGELS FURNITURE STORE NEEDS VOLUNTEERS

Volunteers needed to help customers on open days and hours. You can arrange for portions of the open hours, and your selection of a day or days. We are flexible.

Think of the Angels Furniture Store for very low cost medical equipment. We have in stock currently three (3) hospital beds, walkers, commodes, crutches, and a tub transfer seat, among other devices.

MORRIS GUITAR AT ANGELS BOUTIQUE

This is a quality acoustic guitar now available at the Angels Boutique. If you are not acquainted with this Morris brand, check it out at morris-guitar.com

Based on some investigation online, we estimate this guitar to be valued in the $1500 range, but our price is only $400, as is typical of Angel’s Boutique to offer fine items at very reasonable prices.  Recently, we offered for sale a Saxophone which sold quickly, so do not wait if you are in the market for a guitar like this one.

Often, Angels has an inquiry from a Floyd County resident asking if we can pick up some furniture to donate to the Angels Furniture Store. The resident might be a senior citizen, or someone without a truck to deliver anything. All Angels has currently is a minivan which is unable to carry a dresser, table, piano, or similar pieces of furniture but is ideal for its purpose of carrying clothing, books, and small items the 1/4 mile from the Angels Donation Center to the Angels in the Attic Store.

Since Angels is a non-profit 501c3 organization, a full size pickup truck could be a donation. With prices of used vehicles high at the present time, this would be an excellent time to consider a donation. The pickup needs to be in running condition, have a clear title, and able to pass the state inspection.

The Angels volunteers have found a way to stay open on Friday nights till 6:00 PM, and this new schedule starts Friday, April 1. The hours for other days stays the same.

Furthermore, Angels has declared that spring is here, winter is being shooed away, and winter clothes are being removed to make way for lots of spring and summer clothing. So mark your calendar for April 1 to get the first choice.
