Uh Oh! THE CAT IS OUT OF THE BAG
HALF PRICE BAG SALE AT ANGELS IN THE ATTIC COMING UP QUICKLY
The secret escaped, with an inquiry about the upcoming Bag Sale at the Angels in the Attic Store. We were planning to post this on Sunday the 13th, but now it must be scheduled a day earlier, in order to be fair to all Floyd County residents to get ready for this momentous sale.
Here is the way it works: Starting with our normal hours on Tuesday March 15, 2022, you bring in a plastic bag about the size of a Walmart bag. Select any of the men’s, women’s, or children’s clothes, shoes, and purses on the shelves and racks, stuff them tightly into the bag, and bring it to the counter. We will charge you only $2.00 (I imagine plus sales tax on top of that). If you do not have a plastic bag, you can ask for one at the counter when you arrive.
Angels in the Attic hours and days of operation:
Tuesdays – 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
Fridays – 9:00 am to 6:00 pm April until Christmas, and 9:00 am to 4:00 pm January through March
Saturdays – 9:00 am to 2:00 pm
The location for both Angels in the Attic and Angels Boutique is 210 South Locust Street in Floyd VA. This address is located in the first block south of the traffic signal at the intersection of Routes 221 and 8 in downtown Floyd next door to the world famous Floyd Country Store.

BIG SALE AT ANGELS BOUTIQUE STARTING THIS FRIDAY MARCH 11, 2022
Half price sale (yes, we are serious about 50% off from already low prices) on winter clothes, with a lot of other items currently in inventory also sharply discounted. As you may know, the Boutique also carries unique glassware and art, jewelry, lamps, dolls, and home decor. We need to make space for more donations that are in process of being brought over from the Angels Donation Center. Think of this as an indoor sidewalk sale, where the volunteers do not need to carry all those items.
Hours are:
Tuesdays – 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
Fridays – 10:00am to 6:00pm April until Christmas, and 10:00am to 4:00pm January through March
Saturday – 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
The location for both Angels in the Attic and Angels Boutique is two adjoining buildings at 210 South Locust Street in Floyd VA. This address is located in the first block south of the traffic signal at the intersection of Routes 221 and 8 in downtown Floyd next door to the world famous Floyd Country Store.

BOOKS. FILED BY CATEGORIES. AT ANGELS IN THE ATTIC STORE. VERY LOW PRICES. HUGE SELECTION.
The weather does not seem spring-like yet, and the days are still short. So this is a good time to do some reading either for enjoyment or for self-improvement. There are lots and lots of books sorted into categories to make it easy for you to quickly zero in on what you are seeking: fiction, self-help, childrens, religious, romance, western, and more.
The price of one book is 25 cents. Each additional book purchased at the same time is an additional 10 cents. So, if I have calculated it correctly, you can walk out of the store with 8 (yes, eight) books for 95 cents plus tax!
Tuesdays – 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
Fridays – 9:00 am to 6:00 pm April until Christmas, and 9:00 am to 4:00 pm January through March
Saturdays – 9:00 am to 2:00 pm

FEBRUARY IS THE MONTH OF CHINESE NEW YEAR
So, the Angels Boutique has set out numerous Asian home decorative items ranging from colorful dishes to Samauri swords and a lot in between. Since Spring is around the corner, this is the best time to start to give your house a refresh of some of the current decorations that may start to feel stale. You can recycle some of your current decorative items, to make room, to the Angels Donation Center (Yes).
Asian style interior design, sometimes called Oriental design, showcases the cultures of Japan, China, Vietnam, Thailand and other prominent Eastern societies.
The Boutique hours are:
Tuesdays – 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
Fridays – 10:00am to 6:00pm April until Christmas, and 10:00am to 4:00pm January through March
Saturday – 10:00 am to 2:00 pm

PIANO, A 1993 SAMICK MODEL 143, IS AVAILABLE TO BUY AT THE ANGELS FURNITURE STORE
A local piano player says this piano is in excellent condition, and so the value from checking around on the internet is around $1600 including the bench. Angels has priced it at the low price of $600.
Never played piano? On YouTube there are some beginner’s piano lessons. Come on in and try it. If you are experienced, all the better. as you can entertain the Volunteers at the Angels Furniture Store. Either a Cole Porter old-timey piece, or a Franz Liszt dreamy piece, would be fine with them – or another of your choice.

SAMURAI SWORD AUTHENTIC REPLICAS – LOOK AT BOTH
The Angels Boutique has these two collector’s items, priced at only $35 each. Not a toy, but metal replicas, no plastic. Great conversation piece for hanging on your wall. Not for juveniles or their games. This is a once in a decade availability at the Boutique, so do not wait to come in and view them.
One helpful customer identified these swords as excellent metal replicas so this post is updated to reflect that information.
Kissaki was the Samurai sword point that determined the sword quality. Japanese swords changed over time, but the three main Samurai sword types were: Katana, Wakizashi and Tanto. The most powerful Samurai, Shogun, used the Katana and Wakizashi swords. We are unsure how this relates to these two offerings.
Here are the hours for the Boutique:
Tuesdays – 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
Fridays – 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
Saturdays – 10:00 am to 2:00 pm

Angels in the Attic is operated by the Floyd County Angels Ministries, Inc., a 501c3 non-profit organization almost entirely operated and managed by community volunteers.
