VINTAGE TRUNK AND VINTAGE TOOLBOX. MAY BE ANTIQUES
The Angels Boutique has received two fine wood creations as donations. The tool box is on casters and there are features inside for supporting certain tools that are unknown to us. Each one is $50. They might be worth a lot more than that, we are not sure, as they show fine craftsmanship. Come in and take a look and decide for yourself. On display starting Tuesday May 16. Click a photo to look at it full size. The Angels Boutique is the door to the left of the Angels in the Attic Store in downtown Floyd VA, next door to the famous Floyd Country Store.

OUTRAGEOUSLY LOW PRICES IN THE ANGELS IN THE ATTIC STORE. SEE ONE OF THE PRICE LISTS IN THE PHOTO (CLICK IT TO SEE THE WHOLE PAGE)
Often, you will see items featured at the Angels Boutique, which is next door to the Angels in the Attic Store. Those items are more expensive, and we hope that antique dealers, tourists, and locals who have some extra cash will purchase those items. The proceeds, less expenses for such necessities as utilities and repairs, are then distributed to Floyd County charitable organizations.

Price lists are posted on the walls in the Angels in the Attic Store, and one of those is photographed below. Can you believe belts are 50 cents, dresses $3, jeans $2, shorts $1, polo shirts $1.50 and a suit $5 ??? The Back to the Future movie was set in 1955, but these prices must be pre-WWII when a cup of coffee was a nickel.

CONSTRUCTION UNDERWAY AT ANGELS DONATION CENTER
Many thanks to The Floyd Press for their great coverage of the construction in process at the Donation Center at the corner of Needmore and Hwy 8 (See copies below in the photos).

Handling furniture has been a big problem which this construction will fix. There has been no space out of the weather for storing furniture, or displaying it to purchasers. Moving furniture in and out when it is delivered or sold has been difficult work over dirt floors.

The garage attached to the house has proven too small for intake, and sorting, with the volunteers trying to navigate tiny aisles, stepping over boxes, and handling the same item over and over again, which has been frustrating and time-wasting. The shed behind the house was leaning, it had a dirt floor, and cracks let in water, so it had to be replaced. The expansion to the garage replaces the need for that shed.

MASONIC MEMORABILIA
At the Angels Boutique Store, a donation of Masonic items is now on display. Be sure to ask any of your friends or relatives associated with the Masons if they would like to replace an item they lost; or to simply collect memorabilia from this organization to which a number of the Founding Fathers of the USA belonged.fullsizeoutput_3864

VINTAGE COBBLERS BENCH
Great for a plant stand, coffee table, side table, craft bench, or lamp table, or perhaps only for the purpose of admiring an implement of a lost trade. These are not being made any more, for sure, so forget going to WalMart or Ikea for one. You can find this one at the Angels Boutique Store for $60, which is adjacent to the Angels in the Attic Store. (I think that is well below market price in an antique store). It is only a few steps from the famous Floyd Country Store in downtown Floyd VA. Check for the current open winter hours on this website.

Remember that all the proceeds of your purchases (less, of course, utilities, maintenance, insurance, etc.), are donated to local charities in Floyd County to help those in need with meals, food, and shelter.  So at Angels Boutique, or the Angels in the Attic Store, you can feel extra good about buying something, and in addition you are participating in recycling of donations.

AS THE SONG GOES…OH, YOU LIGHT UP MY LIFE…
It is time to brighten up those overcast winter days. The Angels in the Attic Boutique has the perfect solution, which is a great selection of decorator lamps for your kids bedroom, your living room, your workshop, your great room, or any other room in the house that could use some more lighting. Each of these offerings is unique, meaning there is rarely any extra stock of exactly the same lamp.
